GIDI Kolose Youth Shows Enthusiastic Spirit in 25th Anniversary Futsal Tournament of Balim Valley Classis Although only 1 year and 11 months old, the GIDI Kolose Congregation Youth showed remarkable enthusiasm by participating in both the men's and women's futsal tournaments organized by the GIDI Youth of Balim Valley Classis in Wamena. The tournament was part of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the GIDI Youth Balim Valley Classis. In this event, the Kolose Youth sent two teams—one for the men's category and one for the women's—coordinated directly by Roger W. Towolom and Lia Genongga. While the teams did not achieve outstanding results, their participation demonstrated a strong commitment and spirit in fostering harmonious relationships among local congregations. The futsal tournament was not only aimed at enlivening the 25th anniversary of the GIDI Youth Balim Valley Classis but also served as a platform to strengthen brotherhood and harmony among congregations. Through this event, it is hoped that a spirit of unity and solidarity will grow among GIDI youth. The Secretary of Kolose Youth, Abunus Wanimbo, stated that although the results were not optimal, what matters most is their active participation at the classis level. “The most important thing is to be involved in this classis-level event, to build relationships with other youth, and to nurture and ignite the passion and talents of the Kolose youth,” said Abunus. The participation of GIDI Kolose Youth in this futsal tournament reflects their spirit and dedication in building a solid and harmonious community. Activities like this are expected to continue and become an inspiration for other youth to actively contribute to positive efforts in their environment.
