Follow-Up to BPL Classis March 2025, GIDI Kolose Congregation Holds Spiritual Seminar for Church Servants

Wamena, April 25, 2025 — As a follow-up to the March 2025 decision of the Full Workers Council (BPL) of the Balim Valley Classis, the GIDI Kolose Congregation held a special spiritual seminar for church servants. The event took place at the temporary worship building of GIDI Kolose and was attended by youth and church service leaders. This one-day seminar carried the theme: "Strengthening Faith, United in Service," featuring keynote speaker Rev. Enius Endama, M.Th., a long-serving minister known for his doctrinal steadfastness and integrity in shepherding. In his message, Rev. Enius emphasized the importance of a proper understanding of the calling to serve, a deep commitment to Gospel values, and setting a living example within the congregation. He also encouraged young people to become spiritually resilient individuals, capable of standing firm amidst the challenges of the times. "It is not enough to just be active in church programs. We are called to live in truth and embody the Gospel daily — in our families, congregations, and communities," Rev. Enius urged the participants. This seminar served as a concrete implementation of the BPL Classis outcomes, particularly in the area of spiritual development for both youth and church servants. The elders of GIDI Kolose expressed their appreciation for the active participation and hoped the seminar would spark a renewed spirit of ministry. "We are grateful that through this seminar, our youth and church leaders are further strengthened in their faith and more prepared to engage actively in service. This is a strong start for continued spiritual development in the future," said Deacon Chairperson Yohanes R. Gurik. The seminar concluded with a collective prayer and a personal commitment from each participant to remain faithful in their calling. GIDI Kolose plans to make this an annual event to further strengthen the spiritual capacity of its church servants.
